Find out how Pilates supports the busy life of Darya Rose

Darya Rose is a busy working mom with 2.5 and 3.5 year old girls who have been mostly at home these past years due to COVID (one is finally starting pre-school this year!). How does she feel about her regular Pilates practice? She shared her thoughts with us.

 

What does your daily juggle look like between home/kids/work/life?

“I get up at 7:00 am and get the kids up and fed. Hang with them until nanny arrives at 9:00 am. Then I try to workout in the morning (walk/run/weights/cardio on Oculus/Pilates, depending on the day), then cook for them and try to get some work or errands done in the afternoons. They go to bed at 7:00 pm and I eat with my husband.”

 

When did you start practicing Pilates? And what goals were you specifically looking for support with?

“I re-started Pilates last summer, when I was in so much pain and realized I could do virtual sessions now with Andrea! I live in Portland, OR so this is a treat and massive COVID bonus. I mainly want to end pain and get strong again. I was very fit and active before having babies.”

 

How has a consistent Pilates practice supported you in your role as a mother? And specifically during the pandemic?

“I don’t know what I would do without Pilates. Seriously. Holding my kids in one of the things that messes up my hips and shoulders the most. With Pilates I can both correct the damage and strengthen myself so I get less injured.”

 

Would you recommend Pilates for other mothers as part of their health & wellness routine?

“I would recommend Pilates for all mothers. Essential!!”
